pink and blue pearls necklace

This pearl necklace alternates pink cultured freshwater pearls with fine silver chain. Neon blue apatite gems accent the pink pearls. The pendant is removable.

  length: 18

price: 220.00

materials:

  • Argentium sterling silverArgentium sterling silver is a new sterling silver alloy that uses germanium instead of some of the copper in the alloy. The metal has a nice silver color and is much more tarnish resistant than regular sterling silver.
  • fine silverFine silver is 99.99% silver, and is a beautiful, pure metal. It is softer than sterling silver.
  • apatiteApatite is a rare and somewhat unknown gemstone. It is not as hard as some other stones, which makes it more suitable for jewelry items that are less exposed to wear, such as earrings. It comes in a range of colors, such as green, yellow, violet, purple, etc. Sometimes apatite is treated by heating (e.g., to turn green stones a bright blue).
  • cultured pearlPearls have been admired in jewelry for centuries. Most people are familiar with akoyas, which are cultured saltwater pearls, but there are many other types of cultured pearls, such as tahitian, south sea, and freshwater pearls. Cultured freshwater pearls are available in a lovely array of natural colors, pinks, mauves, oranges, etc., and are also available in many dazzling colors that are a result of dying. I primarily use cultured freshwater pearls, either natural color or dyed.
