materials:

  • palladiumPalladium is a durable white metal that is similar to platinum. It will not tarnish like sterling silver, and unlike 14k or 18k white gold, it does not need to be rhodium plated to remain a bright, white color.
  • berylGreen beryl is a pale green gemstone that is in the same family as emerald and aquamarine. The green beryl I've used in some of my pieces has been dyed to give it a deeper green color. Yellow beryl, also called heliodor, ranges from pale yellow to gold and is often heat treated.
  • jadeThe term jade is used to describe two different minerals: jadeite and nephrite. Of the two, jadeite is more rare and valuable. Nephrite jade provides a beautiful glowing green color, for a fraction of the cost of jadeite. Additionally, it is rarely treated. All of the jade used in my work is nephrite.
